Completion of McMahons Point Project

by Charlie Nohra

We have completed the major alterations & additions to a heritage 1870 workers cottage in McMahons Point.

This project involved raising the existing cottage by approx 500mm. The existing cottage was craned to the rear of the site while new foundations were constructed, then relocating the cottage to its original position.

There is also major additions to the rear of the cottage including a steel portal frame structure with cladding to the external.

Challenges include a narrow 7 metre wide block with tight street access.

This project was delivered 55 days ahead of schedule with a contract savings of over $28K for the client.

More photos are available on our Portfolio page.
