McMahons Point Project

by Charlie Nohra

We are currently carring out alterations & additions to a heritage 1870 workers cottage in McMahons Point.

This project involves raising the existing cottage by approx 500mm. The existing cottage was craned to the rear of the site while new foundations were constructed, then relocating the cottage to its original position.

There is also major additions to the rear of the cottage including a steel portal frame structure with cladding to the external.

Challenges include a narrow 7 metre wide block with tight street access.

Project commencement February 2013.
